                     OUR MISSION

Paper Pop Cares' mission is to promote the joy of creating art by providing children with the opportunity to experience and work on something they love. Children have the ability to draw inspirational masterpieces through their eyes. We want to make an impact in their lives by creating paths for them to express themselves through color, creativity, and a passion for art.

With each purchase of one of Paper Pop Cards' amazing pop-up greeting cards, a portion of the proceeds will go toward providing tools for children to express their view of the world as they see it and share their love for art.

GGG: Gangs to Greeting Cards to Giving Back

To our valued customers and friends,

Paper Pop Cares is a not-for- profit initiative that is very close to my heart. I was born and raised in New York City. Growing up without a father and a single mother who had to work every day was hard for me. I had no guidance, too much time, and an annoying amount of energy. I ended up involved with gangs and committing offenses I regret today. I was in and out of jail as an adolescent. I was headed on a path of no return and knew I had to turn things around soon.

After being released at 18, a neighbor introduced me to her church. I had never been welcomed with love and open arms like that before. I met the nicest people there – many of which were groomsmen at my wedding. That was the turn in my life I needed. God is good!

Since I had always “hustled” to make money, it allowed me to develop some entrepreneurial instincts. In twenty years, I’ve founded and invested in numerous businesses. Some of them have failed dreadfully, but I’m proud to have had some successes.

I proposed to my beautiful wife on 7.7.07 in Paris and married her on 8.8.08 in New York. During our honeymoon in Asia, we visited a night market and met a woman selling intricate pop-up cards that she had cut out with a scissor and an X-acto knife. In 2012, we went back and saw her again. I bought all of the cards and worked with my family to set up our own factory to begin designing and producing Paper Pop Cards. Our products are now in retailers in countries around the world. We still love seeing the reactions from people opening our unique 3D pop-up cards!

So why Paper Pop Cares? Well, I care. I don’t want kids to go down the same treacherous road I did. If we give them an opportunity to experience and work on something they truly enjoy, then we would have made an impact that creates a path down a road filled with color, creativity, and a passion for art.

Sincerely,
Lawrence Yeh
